Morrow Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026

Morrow is a sleep tracker and alarm clock. This policy says what it records, what stays on your phone, and the three cases in which something leaves it.

The short version

Morrow works entirely on your phone. Nothing you record is uploaded unless you sign in, and signing in is optional. There are no advertisements, no analytics, no tracking of any kind, and nothing about you is sold or shared with anybody for their own purposes.

What Morrow records

On your phone, and only on your phone unless a later section says otherwise:

Your sleep — when a monitoring session started and ended, how long you slept, how long you took to fall asleep, and your average resting heart rate for the night. If you use a heart-rate band, a reading a minute for the length of the session.

Your alarms — times, repeat days, labels, sounds and wake windows.

What you log — meals and their photographs' results, weight, hydration, alcoholic drinks, workouts, and a menstrual cycle if you switch that on.

Your profile — a first name if you give one, and age, sex, height and weight if you fill them in. These are the inputs to the calorie model and are used for nothing else.

Readings from Health Connect — see below.

Sleep and meal history are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. Weight is kept for a year. Nothing is kept indefinitely.

Health Connect

If you allow it, Morrow reads from Health Connect: sleep sessions, heart rate, heart-rate variability, breathing rate, skin temperature, steps, distance, active calories, exercise sessions, weight and height. It uses them to show you what your band measured rather than what Morrow guessed.

Morrow writes back three things: the water and food you log, and — only when your own band has not already written it — the sleep session Morrow measured.

Health Connect is a store on your phone that belongs to you. Reading from it and writing to it does not send anything anywhere. You can revoke any of it at any time from Health Connect's own settings, and Morrow will notice and stop.

The microphone

Morrow can listen for coughs, snoring and movement during the night. It ships switched off, there is no prompt anywhere in the app inviting you to switch it on, and while it is off the microphone is never opened.

If you switch it on: the microphone is opened in the evening when you open Morrow, nothing is written to disk until Morrow has detected that you are asleep, and it closes in the morning. Clips are short, are kept on your phone for 30 days, are excluded from every backup including Google's own, and are never uploaded anywhere. Switching the setting off stops the recording immediately and deletes every clip.

The three times something leaves your phone

  1. If you sign in, your data is backed up. Signing in is optional and Morrow works fully without it. If you do, Morrow uploads a copy of your history — nights, alarms, meals, weight, workouts, drinks, your profile and your name — to Google Firebase, under your account, so a new phone can restore it. Nobody else can read it. The night audio clips are never included. Deleting your account from Settings deletes the cloud copy and then the account, and leaves everything on your phone untouched.
  2. When you scan a meal, the photograph is sent to Google's Gemini API to be read. Morrow keeps the numbers that come back and does not keep the photograph. The same applies to a meal you describe in words, and to a band name when Morrow generates setup instructions for it.
  3. When you use Ask, your question is sent to the same service, together with a summary of the figures needed to answer it — for instance your last few nights' durations. Morrow shows you exactly what would be sent before your first question, and the row is there to open again at any time.

There is no fourth. Morrow contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash reporter.

Connected devices

If you connect a wearable account such as Oura, Morrow receives from that service the sleep, heart rate and recovery data it holds for you, so it can show what your device measured. You authorise this yourself and can disconnect it at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored authorisation.

Location

Morrow does not request location access and cannot determine your location. The Bluetooth scan it uses to find a heart-rate band is declared as never being used to derive location.

Your choices

Do not sign in. Everything works; nothing is uploaded.

Do not connect Health Connect. The alarm and the sleep record still work.

Leave night recording off, which is where it starts.

Export your history to a file at any time from Settings, and import it back.

Delete your account and its cloud copy from Settings, in two taps.

Revoke any permission from Android's own settings, at any time.

Children

Morrow is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13.
